Mental Health Case Manager II

Position Overview:
The Mental Health Case Manager at Heart of Texas Region MHMR Center collaborates with mental health professionals in local educational institutions. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team that includes case managers, family partners, psychiatrists, and other staff members to deliver services directly on school premises.

Key Responsibilities:
The School-Based Mental Health Specialist will engage in individual, group, and family counseling, as well as skills training within the educational environment. This position requires close collaboration with a case manager to ensure comprehensive service delivery and to foster effective relationships among mental health staff, educational personnel, clients, and their families. The Specialist will conduct intake assessments, perform evaluations, and lead the formulation of treatment strategies.

  • Proficient written communication skills for accurate clinical documentation.
  • Strong verbal communication abilities for effective interaction with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Effective time management skills to achieve service objectives.
  • Occasional local travel (approximately 10%).
  • Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving stooping, bending, sitting, standing, and prolonged keyboarding.
  • Certification in CPR and PMAB is required.
  • A valid driver's license, liability insurance, and dependable transportation are mandatory.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field is required.
  • Licensure as an LPC or LCSW is necessary, or a Master's Level candidate for LPC-I or LMSW licensure.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate school schedules.

Compensation:
Salary Range: $48,150 - $52,965 annually for Master's Degree holders, and $64,000 annually for licensed professionals, based on qualifications.
