Mad Science Educator

We are a leading provider of science education to children in Maine and New Hampshire. Our summer camps offer a unique and engaging way for kids to learn about science and technology.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Lead Instructor for our summer camps. As a Lead Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of topics, including robotics, chemistry, engineering, and more. You will have the opportunity to work with children from 1st-6th grade and inspire the next generation of scientists.
Key Responsibilities- Teach a variety of topics, including robotics, chemistry, engineering, and more
- Work with children from 1st-6th grade to inspire the next generation of scientists
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and successful camp experience
- Meet with parents/guardians to discuss camper progress and address any concerns
- An outgoing and animated personality
- A dependable car for commuting to different locations throughout Maine and New Hampshire
- A commitment to the entire summer schedule (June 20th-August 26th)
- The ability to pass a background check
- Reliability and punctuality
- A good attitude and a willingness to learn and grow
- Experience working with children ages 5-12
- Classroom and behavioral management skills
- Organized, independent, and attention to detail
- The ability to work with up to 20 children at a time (with some assistance and a 1:10 student to teacher ratio)
- Science coursework or experience in a related field
- Experience working with special needs
- College degree or pursuit of higher education
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- $110-$143 per day (plus travel compensation)
- Additional benefits include gas cards, travel compensation, orientation stipend, paid training, and free programming for children/reduced for close relatives
