Job Opportunity

KPC Promise Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood samples for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients using aseptic techniques
  • Process and distribute clinical laboratory specimens for testing
  • Perform clerical duties associated with laboratory operations
  • Ensure accurate and efficient specimen handling and processing

Requirements:

  • State Phlebotomist Certificate
  • High School graduate or equivalent experience required
  • One year of College with emphasis in biology preferred
  • Completion of one year of Laboratory internship or accumulative experience of two years under direction of an accredited program
  • Basic computer experience - Microsoft word, excel
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Physical and Mental Demands:

The Phlebotomist will be required to:

  • Walk up to 80% of the time
  • Stand up to 80% of the time
  • Kneel up to 10% of the time
  • Sit up to 50% of the time
  • Push up to 10% of the time
  • Bend up to 80% of the time
  • Squat up to 10% of the time
  • Reach up to 25% of the time
  • Lift up to 25 lbs
  • Perform wrist and finger movements up to 50% of the time

Exposure Risk:

The Phlebotomist will be exposed to Category I, which includes jobs that routinely involve a potential for mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues, or potential spills or splashes.

Certifications:

The Phlebotomist must hold CPR Certification.
