Job Summary
Under indirect supervision, the Chief Physicist provides professional medical physics services for Radiation Oncology, adhering to the highest standards of practice and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with medical providers, the Chief Physicist designs, evaluates, and modifies effective radiation treatments for patients. Additionally, they oversee and monitor treatment plans developed by dosimetrists, participate in equipment evaluation, calibration, and safety surveys, and supervise staff physicists and dosimetrists.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Medical Physics is required, while a Doctorate Degree in Medical Physics is preferred.
- 6-7 years of Clinical Radiation Oncology experience is required.
- Certified Health Physicist (CHP) certification is required.
