Job SummaryKimco Staffing Services is seeking a skilled Welder I to join our team in Arizona. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to welding and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform rework and development hardware as required;
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from welded parts to ensure they meet engineering blueprints and tolerance requirements;
  • Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated;
  • Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards;
  • Set-up and operation of TIG Welding, Spot Welding, Laser Welding or Automatic Welding equipment;
  • Strive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput;
  • Manufacture and/or test parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications;
  • Supports and/or trains in other assembly areas as requested by Lead/Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Ability to acquire proficient knowledge of all Welding department operations;
  • Utilizes a variety of tools, gauges and equipment;
  • Adequate manual dexterity;
  • Keeps quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work;
  • Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instruction in English;
  • Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions;
  • Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability;
  • Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management.
