Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and tools to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop composite parts and structures.
  • Conduct process improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve productivity.
  • Design and develop tools, fixtures, and equipment to support manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and technical documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on composite part fabrication.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and experience with Work Instruction creation.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication skills, with ability to prepare technical documents.
  • Experience with Catia V5, Inventor, Solid Works, or other 3-Dimensional CADs.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, preferably Black Belt.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ply shape flat pattern development experience.
  • Tool Design experience.
  • Knowledge of Boeing and Airbus processes and specifications.
  • Familiarity with composite autoclave or oven curing cycles, thermal profiles, recipes, thermal effects, thermal expansion, wrinkles, and tooling spring back effects.
Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking within facility.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
