Clinical Therapist

We are a voluntary facility that provides a holistic recovery approach to patient care, focusing on individualized needs and complex recovery processes.
The Primary Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention services, psychoeducation presentations, and experiential learning groups for clients and their families.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
- Compassion towards people in early recovery and mental health treatment
- Willingness to work with patients of all backgrounds and populations
- Patience with the client population
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a healthcare team
- Self-starter and problem solver

Job Responsibilities
Provide clinical services including individual, group, and family therapy along with process groups, psychoeducational groups, and crisis intervention services.
Provide psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, individual therapy notes, and discharge summaries.
Work closely with the treatment team including case managers, intake coordinators, psychiatric nurse practitioners, the clinical director, and the program manager.
Complete clinical documentation promptly in line with state, insurance, and joint commission regulations.
Attend staff training and meetings as required by the employer.

Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Masters in counseling, social work, or psychology.
- LPC, LAPC, or CADC are strongly preferred.
- Experience working with addictions and mental health diagnoses.
- Ability to use a variety of counseling interventions including CBT, DBT, ACT, Family Systems, etc.
- Understanding of an array of theories and models of addiction and mental illness.
- Knowledge of philosophies, practices, and outcomes of different treatment models.
- Understanding of relapse prevention through the continuum of care.
- Understanding of dually diagnosed populations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent in areas of gender-specific issues, diverse cultures, and the ability to incorporate the needs of the client into treatment.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize daily and weekly tasks appropriately.
- Understanding electronic medical record systems a plus.
