Job Overview

Bayview Physicians Group is a rapidly growing outpatient multi-specialty medical group that values the doctor-patient relationship as the cornerstone of quality healthcare. We have over 600 positions available in the Hampton Roads area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as requested by physicians and office managers, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate patient care by taking vital signs, documenting information in electronic medical records, and processing prescriptions.
  • Update patient records with relevant information, such as medications, allergies, and family history.
  • Process prior authorizations and refill requests in our Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Handle phone calls from patients, providing assistance or taking messages for physicians as needed.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical principles and practices is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to travel to satellite offices as needed.
  • Must maintain the necessary pharmaceutical licenses.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with coworkers and providers are essential.
