Position Overview:
We are currently in search of a self-driven and results-oriented Retail Sales and Merchandising Supervisor. Our commitment to our associates and customers has been the cornerstone of our success for over 40 years.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the sales floor by ensuring associates are actively engaging with customers and providing credible product solutions.
2. Oversee the implementation of advertising displays and visual merchandising standards within the department.
3. Manage the flow of merchandise and freight processing, including conducting regular inventory counts and tracking company assets.
4. Participate in staffing, training, and scheduling to ensure a competent team is in place to meet customer needs; address any issues with management.
5. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to associates to enhance sales presentations, customer satisfaction, and visual merchandising standards.
6. Assist in opening and closing procedures as needed.
7. Act as the floor leader or manager-in-charge in the absence of store management.
8. Support operational efforts by maintaining awareness of loss prevention and assisting with physical inventory preparations.
9. Collaborate with senior management and HR to address human resource matters in line with company guidelines.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma is required; proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a retail sales environment, with direct responsibility for achieving sales and customer service objectives, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple customers and connect with individuals of varying technical expertise.
- Proven ability to drive sales and implement corporate initiatives.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Availability for shifts that may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
