Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EMT Instructor to join our team at Manhattan Area Technical College. As an EMT Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in emergency medical services and ensuring student comprehension and retention of knowledge.

About the Role

As an EMT Instructor at Manhattan Area Technical College, you will have the opportunity to teach students the latest techniques and best practices in emergency medical services. You will work collaboratively with other faculty members to develop and implement course curriculum, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and relevance. Your primary focus will be on teaching and mentoring students, but you may also be involved in program development, marketing, and community outreach.

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency medical services, preferably with experience as an EMT or paramedic. A minimum of two years of relevant industry experience and/or teaching/training experience is required. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and guests. In addition, they will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and supporting the college's mission and values.

Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality instruction in emergency medical services courses

* Develop and implement course curriculum in collaboration with other faculty members

* Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback

* Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance

* Participate in program development, marketing, and community outreach activities

* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental and institutional goals

Requirements

* EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic license/certification is required

* Minimum of two years of relevant industry experience and/or teaching/training experience is required

* Strong computer and word processing skills are essential

* Experience working with a Learning Management System is preferred

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through verbal and written means

* Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, staff, and guests

* Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and supporting the college's mission and values

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

The salary range provided is based on the current market conditions and the level of experience required for the position. The actual salary offered may vary depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
