Mental Health Therapist in Rural Alaska

Cynet Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Bethel, AK. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health support and counseling services to our patients.
**Job Overview:**
We are looking for an experienced Behavioral Psych Therapist, Social Worker-Clinical, or Psychologist to fill this 13-week contract position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
**Salary Information:**
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, Cynet Health offers a competitive benefits package, including private housing assistance, meal stipends, and comprehensive travel reimbursement.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mental health support and counseling services to patients, utilizing evidence-based interventions such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Collaborate with primary care providers to offer comprehensive care and ensure seamless coordination of patient services
- Conduct screenings, crisis intervention, brief therapy, case management, and referrals as needed
- Work within an outpatient clinic setting alongside medical staff to deliver high-quality patient care
- Establish rapport quickly with a wide range of individuals and families, fostering trust and promoting positive outcomes
- Facilitate change and build consensus within diverse teams, leveraging your expertise to drive effective communication and collaboration
- Ensure all documentation and professional certifications are up to date and submitted for onboarding purposes
**Requirements:
- Master's degree in a human service-related field (e.g., Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience providing direct clinical care
- Proficiency in clinical/therapeutic activities, including assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and counseling
- Basic computer knowledge and standard office equipment usage skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with different cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups
