KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following responsibilities are representative of the tasks performed in this role. They are not listed in any order of priority, and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
  • Conducts routine cleaning tasks, including emptying waste bins, washing windows, dusting surfaces, and cleaning air vents.
  • Implements sanitization procedures in key areas such as restrooms, kitchens, and dining facilities.
  • Handles physically demanding tasks that require the use of heavy cleaning equipment, including mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
  • Manages waste disposal by emptying containers and transporting materials to designated disposal areas, while also promoting recycling efforts.
  • Utilizes cleaning chemicals and supplies safely, adhering to guidelines to ensure the safety of all personnel and visitors.
  • Responds promptly to emergency situations to mitigate hazards, such as spills or damaged property.
  • Requests necessary cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Assists in moving heavy items, either manually or with equipment, to facilitate cleaning and maintenance activities.
  • Prepares facilities for events by setting up and arranging furniture and decorations as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

FAITH REQUIREMENT

A deep respect for the teachings of the Catholic Church is essential. Employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that aligns with the Church's mission and values.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in operating standard custodial equipment and fulfilling the physical demands of the job.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary. Candidates should possess a strong command of the English language.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The role involves significant physical effort, including climbing, balancing, and lifting objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
