Job Summary

We are looking for a Sanitation Route Specialist to join our operations team at Universal Waste Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy duty trucks to collect and transport waste materials in a safe and efficient manner.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. An estimated annual salary of $70,000 - $90,000 based on experience is offered for this position.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  2. Learn the geography of assigned routes and surrounding areas to optimize service delivery.
  3. Maintain accurate records of route activities and report any incidents or issues promptly.
  4. Collaborate with coworkers and customers to provide excellent customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current and valid commercial driver's license and DOT medical card.
  • One year of refuse truck driving experience preferred.
  • Ability to think independently and creatively to problem solve.
