Job Description

The Childbirth Educator and Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing and coordinating programs related to childbirth education. This includes:

• Developing curriculum for childbirth education programs, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse populations

• Coordinating schedules for all childbirth education instructors, ensuring seamless delivery of programs

• Evaluating program effectiveness, using data to inform improvements

• Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive care for patients

• Serving as a resource in specialty areas, providing expert knowledge and support to staff and patients

Essential Functions

• Develops and coordinates programs as directed

• Acts as resource in specialty area

• Promotes, schedules, and evaluates all Childbirth classes

• Provides instruction in specialty area for staff

• Develops curriculum for Childbirth Education programs

• Demonstrates formal and informal leadership behaviors

• Practices effective problem identification and resolutions skills as a method of sound decision making

• Demonstrates an awareness of self responsibility and accountability for own professional practice
