Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence and analytics solutions, as well as designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting software and web applications.
Key Responsibilities- Produce actionable intelligence reports by gathering information from internal and external sources.
- Work on ad-hoc requests and deliver required results as mandated by the requests.
- Ensure data quality for both raw data and calculations used for measures.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex data cleansing, data integration, and data warehouse system issues.
- Monitor data integration and reporting anomalies and make adjustments as required.
- Work on data conversion projects from Legacy to Guidewire.
- Work on cloud data projects using Azure, Guidewire Cloud Data Access, etc.
- Be responsible for a set of compliance-related reporting from Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Function as an active member of an agile team through consistent development practices.
- Conduct integration tests, including event logging and reporting of results.
- Perform unit and assembly testing of data software components.
- Conduct code reviews and tests of automated build scripts.
- Debug data components and identify, fix, and verify remediation of code defects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of database (SQL Server) development experience with excellent query and stored procedure skills.
- Experience with ETL using SSIS and other ETL tools.
- Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with teams internal to the department as well as other departments.
- Must keep up to date with industry best practices and latest trends in BI & Analytics.
- Must be willing to work outside normal business hours.
- Read, interpret, and apply complex technical publications, manuals, and other documentation.
- Working knowledge of system analysis, design, testing, software configuration, and troubleshooting techniques.
- This position is based within an assigned region; travel throughout the region is required with occasional travel to locations beyond the assigned region.
- Company-paid pre-employment drug test and health screening required.
