As a Construction Technician 2, you will assist the civil, electrical, and general foreman with all tasks to complete projects on time, on budget, and to our customers' satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide work direction to one or two Construction Technician 1's on installation of materials
* Source materials and organize jobsites materials and supplies to help maximize production
* Load and unload jobsite materials
* Transport material to/from job sites
* Install materials underground and overhead, including digging trenches, backfilling, and concrete work
Qualifications:
* 2+ years' experience as a Construction Technician 1 or similar role
* Basic technical understanding of the work being performed
* Ability to perform trade-specific tasks and operate tools and equipment, as needed
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
* Working knowledge of construction, quality, safety, and OSHA guidelines
* Valid certifications and licensing as required
* Travel overnight to remote job sites up to 60-80% of the work week
Preferred Qualifications:
* Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record
* Class A CDL preferred
Physical Demands:
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, lift, squat, push, pull, climb stairs, ladders, hear, see, reach, grasp, and use hands and fingers to operate a telephone, power tools, and equipment
* The employee must have the ability to occasionally lift more than 50 lbs
Working Environment:
* While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is exposed to extreme weather conditions, including heat and cold, and wet or humid
* The employee may work in high places, and/or work around moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and other equipment
* The employee may also work in areas where the noise volume is loud and constant
