Electrical Lineworker

Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a skilled Electrical Lineworker to join our team. As a key member of our Power Delivery department, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical transmission and distribution systems. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

* Install, maintain, and repair electrical transmission and distribution systems, including overhead and underground lines and equipment.
* Operate line trucks, aerial boom, lifts, and wire pulling equipment to construct, repair, or maintain line equipment or string, splice, and sag wire on live or dead circuits.
* Use switches, cutouts, and grounding devices to work on de-energized lines and equipment.
* Train and direct the work of a trainee in the trade.

Requirements

* A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
* Journeyman Lineman certification, including completion of a formal training program.
* Must meet examining board review of skills and experience and pass testing through Rocky Mountain Power.
* Hot stick training and experience required.
* Class A Commercial Driver's License required.

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman.

Physical Demands

The job duties of this role require lifting in excess of 75 lbs, carrying in excess of 75 lbs, and pushing and pulling in excess of 100 lbs of exertional force. The role also requires sustained, awkward positions/postures, including bending and twisting at the waist and neck, and forceful grip and pinch.
