Financial Reporting and Compliance

The Senior Accountant at Talladega College is responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement. This role involves analyzing and reconciling financial data, ensuring compliance with institutional and external policies, and directing external audits.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and record financial transactions, assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses by comparing and analyzing account information to ensure proper classifications.
  2. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial information and summarize financial status in understandable terms.
  3. Compliance and Audits: Direct external audits to ensure compliance with institutional and external policies, and ensure that audit reports are filed with external agencies in a timely manner.
  4. Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation of tax returns, including the Form 990, and ensure compliance with tax credit reporting requirements.

Requirements
