Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Paradigm Engineers and Constructors PLLC. This is an exciting opportunity to work on federal healthcare projects, designing and managing mechanical systems for VA Medical Centers throughout the United States.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in building and facility/site mechanical HVAC and building plumbing consulting engineering. They will work with a team of engineers and architects to design mechanical and plumbing systems for buildings, primarily at VA Medical Centers. The position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in Auto-Cad and Windows software, as well as mechanical engineering HVAC design software.

  • Design and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Read and interpret blueprints and as-built drawings
  • Attend meetings and project conferences with clients
  • Provide guidance and leadership to staff engineers
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of experience as a mechanical engineer (Federal Healthcare Preferred)
  • PE license
  • Project Management Experience
  • Interfacing with clients (VA Medical Centers)
  • Cooling and heating systems for VA Medical Centers
  • Plumbing Design for VA Medical Centers
  • AutoCAD
  • Windows software
Bonus Points

Candidates with experience in plumbing, construction, energy, heating, and air conditioning will be given preference. Additionally, proficiency in editing federal health care specifications is highly desirable.
