Your Role as a Registered NurseAs a Registered Nurse in the Medical Oncology Unit, you will be integral in delivering direct nursing care, administering prescribed medications, and developing patient care plans. You will engage in thorough bedside daily rounds, collaborating with experienced nurses who are dedicated to mentoring new graduates.
Our comprehensive orientation program spans 10 to 12 weeks, complemented by 10 residency days throughout your first year. The ideal candidate will:

Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct nursing care in line with established policies and protocols.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, evaluating the effectiveness of care.
- Coordinate patient care across various disciplines to ensure comprehensive treatment.
- Administer medications and treatments according to approved nursing protocols.
- Implement physician and nursing orders accurately.
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Provide educational materials and validate patient and family understanding.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through formal and informal education.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- ACLS certification required for specific critical care areas.
- PALS certification needed for RNs in designated pediatric settings.
- Completion of ONS Chemo/Bio course within one year if applicable.
- Experience in acute care settings is essential.
