Laboratory Supervisor Embryology

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor Embryology to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the embryology laboratory, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in our testing and procedures.

• Supervise and manage the embryology laboratory team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure the highest level of accuracy and reliability in our testing and procedures.
• Collaborate with the laboratory director and other department leaders to develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including CLIA and CAP.
• Develop and maintain training programs for laboratory staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical or Biological Science.
• CLT certification required within 3 years of employment.
• General knowledge of operation of web-based QC platforms, electronic medical records, and document control platforms.
• Rigorous QA and QC regarding handling of specimens and extreme care and caution in labeling and handling specimens.

The Laboratory Supervisor Embryology will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with frequent exposure to chemicals, biological agents, and other hazardous materials. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
