Regional Supervisor Child Nutrition Program

Job Summary:
The Regional Supervisor Child Nutrition Program is responsible for monitoring the performance of and providing assistance to on-the-job training to managers in approximately twenty school cafeterias. This role requires a strong understanding of child nutrition programs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor sanitation standards in cafeterias, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on implementing safety awareness and monitoring food storage, preparation, and services.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting, including meal benefit forms, student transfers, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement plans to improve the physical plant, including maintenance and repairs.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of CNP managers, providing coaching and development opportunities as needed.
- Five (5) years of successful experience as a Child Nutrition Program manager.
- Manager's Certification from the State of Louisiana.
- Ability to plan, organize, assign, direct, and inspect the work of CNP managers.
- Knowledge of and willingness to adhere to CNP rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
- Experience in school food service preferred.
- Professional ethics and involvement in professional organizations, such as the School Nutrition Association or Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
The Regional Supervisor Child Nutrition Program will work in an environment that may include exposure to potentially dangerous equipment, heat, humidity, water, detergents, sanitizing agents, strong odors, and drastic changes in temperature. The supervisor must be able to travel to various locations as required and have sufficient visual acuity to work with computer monitors, read and interpret computer printouts, and handwritten documents.
