Position Overview

The Financial Program Manager will support a Government program office, ensuring effective financial management and oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate operational capability needs and establish appropriate program funding.
  • Conduct technical assessments of contractor proposals for Air Force program management and Government Contracting Officers.
  • Provide guidance to program managers regarding financial matters related to VIPSAM.
  • Formulate acquisition strategies, project timelines, program plans, financial plans, and other critical documentation.
  • Align VIPSAM business operations with procurement, production, engineering, and product support to achieve superior financial outcomes.
  • Review programmatic documentation for financial planning, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Assist Government Contract Officers in assessing contractor financial projections and negotiating pricing structures.
  • Draft and evaluate contract Statements of Work/Performance Work Statements and Contract Data Requirements Lists.
  • Oversee financial management during the development, integration, and testing phases of VIPSAM sensor systems.
  • Coordinate financial status updates with budget offices.
  • Prepare briefings on acquisition, financial, and technical enhancement initiatives.
  • Support Air Force program managers in tracking contractor schedules and performance metrics.
  • Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Current TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within a System Program Office, focusing on the development, deployment, and maintenance of weapon systems.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense acquisition reform initiatives, particularly the DoD 5000 series acquisition regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills, responsiveness to customer inquiries, and excellent writing, speaking, and presentation abilities. Experience in contract negotiations is essential.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, financial management, logistics management, and program management skills.
  • A proven history of success, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a high-performance team.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $91,000 - $145,000, reflecting typical salary levels based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.
