Controls Systems Specialist III

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Systems Specialist III to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of HVAC Automation Systems, as well as providing exceptional customer service and support.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex electronic control system malfunctions, requiring extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems and ability to test and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software.
- Provide sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings.
- Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and meeting regularly with customers to become familiar with operating problems.
- Manage assigned work to meet professional execution, of time and customer satisfaction, reporting problems or changes to management immediately.
- Interface with branch manager, service manager, service project manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities as required in an ethical and professional manner.
- Adhere to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards, providing safety awareness on work sites.
- Mentor and train mechanical workforce on building automation systems, providing support to the mechanical staff on non-complex, non-critical equipment.
- Compile job documentation, such as certificate of completion, customer training forms, training certificates and punch lists.
- Conduct extensive self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company's product lines, completing certifications as required by the company.
- General knowledge about HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
- Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
- Where legally permissible, as a condition of employment, you will be required on your first day of employment, to show written proof that you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or that you have a valid medical or religious reason for not receiving the vaccine.
- Vocational School four-year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or five years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
- Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
- Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
- PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.
