Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team at W-S Companies. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating industrial equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of field maintenance and cleaning services.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Operation and Maintenance
- Operate and maintain industrial equipment, including hydro blast/vacuum trucks, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on company vehicles and equipment to identify and report any deficiencies.
- Field Maintenance and Cleaning
- Conduct field maintenance and cleaning services for industrial clients, including power, food and beverage, refining, utilities, chemical, manufacturing, pulp and paper, municipal, upstream, and downstream.
- Assist in project planning, including on-site inspections, writing procedures, specifying equipment and chemicals, etc.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
- Perform Hazard Recognition Awareness to remove all hazards from the workplace.
- Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate the assigned job's status to division management and customer representatives (before, during, and after the job is completed).
- Assist in performing field maintenance on company vehicles, equipment, and tools, daily.
- Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience as a driver or hydro blast/vacuum truck equipment operator.
- Minimum of two years of industrial field experience.
- Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of Safety Leadership and management skills.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and acceptable ID.
- Possess or be able to acquire a CDL A or B endorsement; hazmat is recommended but not required.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
- Superior customer service skills.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work any shift, including weekends.
- Understand verbal and written instructions.
- Basic math and safety skills.
- Ability to lift, push or pull objects up to 50 Ibs. on occasion.
- May reach above shoulder height and below the waist frequently.
- May stoop, kneel, or bend, on occasion.
- Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects frequently.
- Will climb and move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas while maintaining balance.
- Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
