Clinical Opportunity for Pediatric Hospitalists

Aya Locums offers a unique opportunity for skilled Pediatric Hospitalist Physicians to join our team for a short-term assignment. This is a chance to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the well-being of patients.

About the Assignment
  • This is a temporary position lasting several weeks or months to address staffing shortages in hospitals.
  • You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities

  • You will oversee the care of hospitalized patients from admission through diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Coordinate with specialists to manage complex cases and provide comprehensive care.
  • Thoroughly document patient care in the electronic medical record.
  • Conduct daily rounds to assess patient progress, update treatment plans, and address new concerns.
  • Perform procedures such as intubations and central lines at facilities without a designated critical care physician on site.
  • Communicate with patients and families to explain diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate medical intervention.
Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of internal medicine with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Capable of quickly making sound decisions in rapidly changing or emergency situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Efficiently manage large patient loads.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams.
  • Board certification in internal medicine or family medicine.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Washington.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • At least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting.
