Key Responsibilities- Oversee and be accountable for machine crews from setup to completion of corrugated orders.
- Run orders according to job specifications and details, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Execute orders safely, timely, and efficiently, with minimal downtime and waste.
- Troubleshoot machines or jobs as needed, utilizing technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Train and assist Operators and Helpers with job duties, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
- Perform minor repairs as needed on machines, dies, or plates, ensuring optimal performance.
- Make impressions and manual adjustments throughout the machines, maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Assist Operations Manager and General Manager as needed, providing support and guidance.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and training, performing lockout/tagout procedures as required.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely, maintaining records and reports.
- Minimize waste, maximize production, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
- Regular and predictable attendance, with flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) or higher.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the corrugated industry as a machine operator.
- Experience with specific machine setup, die handling, print plate setup, operation, and troubleshooting for Folder Flexo Gluers (FFG) and Rotary Die Cutters (RDC) preferred.
- Machine-specific experience: specialty gluing, autobottoms, corner tray, flexo printing, ink, and color, litho labeling.
- Knowledge of assembly and fulfillment processes.
- Knowledge of various paperboard stocks, board grade combinations, POP displays, and printing processes.
- Strong team player, quality, and safety-conscious leader.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours or extended hours.
- Strong work ethic with emphasis on safety.
