Dedicated Care Partner for Seniors

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Caregiver to join our team at Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Bath in Akron. This PRN position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families.

The Resident Caregiver assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident service plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing housekeeping duties
  • Manage resident behavior, provide socialization opportunities, and engage in activities
  • Provide orientation and information to residents and families
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly; Previous dementia experience preferred
  • Certification required according to state regulations; Must successfully complete the required Arden Courts' training
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis
  • Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning)
  • Good physical and mental health
