Department Details:
This is a full-time RN FLEX position requiring 40 hours per week. The role involves a variable schedule that includes nights and weekends, with an added $5 premium for this position along with differentials for night and weekend shifts.

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for employing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver personalized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and assess care.

Demonstrating proficiency, the RN practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and applies appropriate age and population-specific standards as designated in their clinical setting. Responsibilities include:
  • Providing care for residents across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Coordinating care, conducting resident assessments, providing education, and performing various nursing interventions.
  • Serving as charge nurse and delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel.
  • Ensuring safe and reliable administration of resident care and addressing care and service concerns.

Additionally, the RN functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure. The Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.

Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program, including but not limited to the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). A Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.

Candidates must hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing occurs and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Maintaining required department-specific competencies and certifications is essential.
