Join Our Team as a Family Medicine Specialist

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated physicians to join our team at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will provide top-notch care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

About the Opportunity
  • This is an 8-week assignment with possible extensions up to 4 months
  • Shifts are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some weekend shifts
  • On-call duties are rotated among staff members

You will be working in a dynamic environment that offers a range of services, including outpatient clinics, inpatient care, minor surgeries, and emergency department consultations. Your estimated patient load is 2-3 patients per hour, allowing for comprehensive care and personalized attention to each patient.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in family medicine, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care.

Requirements
  • Active and unrestricted state or Federal MD/DO license
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine
  • Current DEA registration
  • Valid BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications
  • Up-to-date vaccinations and immunizations, including current Flu and Covid vaccines
  • Three professional references
