Job Title: Travel Medication Administration Personnel

ResCare Community Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Medication Administration Personnel to join our team. As a Travel Medication Administration Personnel, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group or independent living home-like setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer physician-ordered medications and treatments within the scope of permissible responsibilities.
  • Complete required observations with the AMAP Registered Nurse to maintain certification.
  • Consult with the AMAP Registered Nurse concerning PRN medications, medication stock, and other matters requiring RN consultation.
  • Utilize electronic medication administration records and other forms of charting.
  • Travel to assigned locations to administer medications per physician's orders.
  • Provide medication administration to clients, including utilization of QuickMar.
  • Conduct adaptive equipment audits.
  • Scan medical appointment information to the Nursing Department and ensure all necessary medical supplies and equipment are received.
Qualifications:
  • Prior medication administration experience preferred.
  • High school degree/GED required.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in group home or independent living home-like settings.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
  • Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
  • Must maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirements.
