We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at West Virginia University Hospitals. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography. You will work closely with our team of physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and prepare medications under direct physician order for procedures.
  • Monitor patient's ECG and blood pressure, documenting and advising the physician of any activity in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Coordinate the laboratory's procedural schedule/load with patient demand and physician schedules.
  • Act as the laboratory's code team, initiating resuscitative measures and cardiac defibrillators under the direct supervision of the physician in charge.
  • Document all procedures performed and utilize the inventory control system that is established.

Requirements:

  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography.
  • Current West Virginia Medical imaging and Radiation Therapy Technologist License, or applicable state licensure where services will be performed.
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a Catherization or Hybrid lab.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 40 pounds.

  • Motivation and drive for continuous development of self.
  • Cooperatively interacts with the health care team to support and contribute to the shared group goals.

Additional Job Description:

This is a non-exempt position with a scheduled weekly hours of 40. The shift is not specified.
