Certified Yoga Teacher

Yoga Instructor:

Gold's Gym Montrose is seeking skilled yoga instructors to enhance our fitness offerings.

The Yoga Instructor will guide participants in a group setting through a structured series of exercises aimed at improving overall health, strength, and flexibility, while prioritizing the safety of all members. Additionally, the Yoga Instructor will provide insights on various mind-body practices to enrich the members' experience.

Pre-Class Duties:

• Arrive at the class venue 10 to 15 minutes early to engage with members, address inquiries, and assess their fitness progress.
• Wear appropriate fitness attire that allows for visibility of proper form and movement.
• Prepare suitable music for the session, ensuring it is free from offensive language.
• Check that all equipment is in working order and microphones are ready for use.

During Class Duties:

• Introduce yourself and the class format to participants.
• Identify any newcomers and assess their fitness levels discreetly.
• Provide clear verbal instructions and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning and enjoyment.
• Monitor participants to ensure correct form and offer modifications as needed.
• Create an encouraging and enjoyable environment for all attendees.

Post-Class Duties:

• Return all equipment and ensure the space is ready for the next session.
• Address any questions or concerns from participants.
• Gather feedback to improve future classes.

• Ensure classes start and end on time, making necessary adjustments to adhere to the schedule.
• Follow proper closing procedures if teaching the last class of the day.
• Find a qualified substitute if unable to teach a scheduled class and inform the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a consistent teaching schedule and attend required staff meetings.
• Document any incidents or accidents as necessary.
• Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor towards responsibilities, colleagues, and members.
• Promote Gold's Gym and its programs effectively.

• 200-hour Yoga Certification.
• Minimum of six months experience teaching in a group exercise format.
• Understanding of safe exercise techniques and group dynamics.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to perform a variety of exercise routines.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Capability to operate and troubleshoot audio equipment.
• Specialized skills in areas such as Yoga, Pilates, etc., must be supported by verifiable credentials.
• Current CPR certification.
