Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic interdisciplinary team at Wisconsin's #1 Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care while working in a fast-paced, academic Level 1 - Trauma center environment.

Job Description

As an Orthopedic Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to systematically collect and assess data to provide therapeutic care to patients and their families.
  • Participating in evidenced-based care and utilizing advanced technology to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a permanent address outside of the 50-mile radius of Madison, with a valid permanent address listed on your profile, resume, and all onboarding documentation.
  • Hold a current WI nursing license or compact license from your permanent address state.
  • Possess a minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years, preferably in an Orthopedics setting.
  • Have experience with insulin drips and basic arrhythmia knowledge.
  • Successfully completed a previous traveler assignment (13 weeks).
  • Be certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
  • Provide two professional references from recent work environments or assignments.
Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, having experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital would be advantageous.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $115,000 per year, based on national averages and location.
