Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist - Regional Float to join our team. This full-time position is based in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operate and maintain equipment within the modality, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to perform examinations effectively.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and notations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the educational training of students, promoting knowledge and skills development.
Work Environment

The primary schedule consists of floating between hospitals within a regional location to fill scheduling gaps due to time off and staffing shortages, which includes nights and weekends.

Requirements
  • Graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 24 months of hire.
