About the Company: Our client, a reputable non-profit organization in Brooklyn, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager. This is a temp to perm role, and the successful candidate must be immediately available to start.

Role Overview:

This exciting opportunity involves overseeing various aspects of financial management, ensuring the organization's financial systems are running efficiently. Key responsibilities include preparing work papers for audits, coordinating audit activities with external auditors, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual financial statements, notes to the financial statements, and supporting analysis.
  • Oversee investment accounting, cash receipts, and journal entries posting.
  • Maintain and track government funding sources, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Review payroll processes and reporting, including variances.
  • Assist the CFO with financial forecasting and prepare an annual CFR report.
  • Monitor cash flow, ensure best practices, and prepare reports making recommendations.
  • Support the CFO in presenting reports to the Board of Directors and its committees and sub-committees.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least eight years of experience in fiscal management.
  • Non-profit or healthcare experience required, including experience working on government contracts.
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct for Nonprofits Software.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Table.
  • Experience supervising finance staff and executing New York State CFR.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and take initiative.
