Experience:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting, with a focus on adult and pediatric populations. Additionally, the candidate must have experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center and have successfully completed a previous traveler assignment (minimum of 13 weeks).

License:

The successful candidate must have a nursing license from the relevant state or a compact license from the permanent address state.

Certifications:

The ideal candidate will be certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association, and must also have TNCC certification.Must-Have:

The following requirements must be met:

  • Permanent address must be outside a 50-mile radius of Madison.
  • Two completed references from recent work environments (supervisor or manager only).
  • Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass an adult and pediatric telemetry test.
Job Description:

The Emergency Department at our facility is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that sees over 60,000 patients annually. As a Registered Nurse in this setting, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive emergency care with access to a full team of subspecialists. You will be responsible for treating patients with a wide range of conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies. You will also have the opportunity to coordinate care with ground ambulances and Med Flight for severely ill and injured patients.

As a member of our team, you will be expected to perform diagnostic interventions and offer consultations for various specialized care, including cardiac catheterization, trauma care, acute stroke care, burn center, and operative procedures. You will also be expected to engage in a very active ECPR (ECMO) program and be able to float to different emergency department units as needed and adapt to changing staffing needs.

We are looking for a team player who can promote teamwork and collaborate effectively with a variety of healthcare professionals. You will be expected to ensure the safety of staff and positive outcomes for patients and their caregivers, supported by numerous available resources.
