About the Position

The TransForce team is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing expert maintenance and repair services for a wide range of heavy equipment and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with heavy equipment and vehicles, including diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Overhaul and rebuild heavy equipment components, including engines, transmissions, and axles.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Order and procure parts and supplies as needed.
  • Track maintenance and repair activities using industry-standard software.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
Work Environment

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with TransForce, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of experienced professionals. You will be required to:

  • Work in a shop environment with occasional field work.
  • Respond to emergencies and work overtime as needed.
  • Exert physical effort to lift, bend, and move heavy equipment and tools.
  • Work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Be exposed to loud noises, fumes, and other hazardous materials.

Requirements
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in heavy equipment repair, including at least one year of experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment.
  • A current valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • A current valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no restriction on air brakes.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening, including a social security number trace, criminal records check, and driving records check.
