Focus Staff is actively seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in CVOR for a travel nursing opportunity. This role involves providing critical support in surgical settings.

Position Overview & Requirements

We are looking for a skilled First Assist RN to collaborate with surgeons during various phases of surgical care, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative stages.

Contract Assignment – 13 Weeks (Temporary)
Shift: 4x10 Days
Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience and location.

Qualifications:
  • Motivated individuals seeking career advancement.
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
  • BSN from an accredited nursing program and appropriate licensure.
  • Strong communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Certification as a First Assist RN and in perioperative nursing.
  • Required operating room experience.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons in both general and specialized surgical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgical interventions.
  • Deliver patient care and support throughout the surgical process.
  • Administer medications as required.
  • Execute surgical techniques such as controlling bleeding, suturing incisions, and providing exposure.
  • Ensure all necessary supplies are prepared and available.
  • Position and prepare patients on the operating table.
  • Monitor vital signs and heart rates during procedures.
  • Educate patients and families on surgical processes and aftercare.
  • Conduct post-operative assessments and monitoring.
  • Perform CPR or emergency measures as necessary.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed.
