Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCU) team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to critically ill patients with complex cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, analyze data, and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- 1 year of RN experience, with 6 months of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The Registered Nurse may be exposed to physical altercations, verbal abuse, and hazardous substances or body fluids. The ability to lift, carry, and maneuver patients is also required.
