Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our team at Appalachian Animal Clinic. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality grooming services to clients, including bathing, trimming, and styling dogs and cats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize grooming instruments, including shears and dryers, to provide exceptional grooming services.
  • Perform grooming services per client instructions, ensuring a positive experience for pets and their owners.
  • Comfort and calm nervous dogs, promoting a positive experience for all pets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, establishing a trusting bond with clients and handling potentially difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and self-directedness, keeping your workstation neat and tidy.
  • Skilled in nail trims, ear cleaning, and anal gland expressing, with a focus on providing a safe and comfortable experience for pets.
  • Ability to receive feedback from clients and adapt to their needs.
  • Physical demands include bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and standing for long periods of time.
