Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist at Sutter Health, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality images to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This is a short-hour, variable shift position that requires a strong understanding of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Competently perform routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
  • May assist in orienting new staff members to the department and performing specific procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist certification and CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist certification (from the state where work is being performed).
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification upon hire.
  • Radiology Fluoroscopy certification within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
Skills and Knowledge
  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform routine radiographic examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems.

Benefits and Schedule
