Job Title: PT Janitor

At The GIANT Company, we're committed to making our stores and facilities better every day for our team members, customers, and communities. We're seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable PT Janitor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain a clean and safe environment in our office space, restrooms, break and lunchroom areas, and surrounding areas. This includes cleaning floors, removing trash, operating floor cleaners and power washers, and cleaning up spills.

Responsibilities:
  • Review work schedules, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
  • Clean and vacuum floors in office and conference spaces.
  • Clean and mop tile floors in restrooms and break areas.
  • Remove trash, operate compactor and bailer, and clean up spills in the store.
  • Dust and wash surfaces, wash mirrors, glass, surfaces, floors, and equipment in all break rooms, lunchrooms, and restrooms.
  • Resupply items as needed and use floor cones to designate potentially hazardous floor conditions.
Requirements:
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as physical base scores for this position.
  • Must be able to use equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
  • Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this job and safety regulations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending on business needs.
  • Job cycles: continual max.
  • Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
  • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
  • Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
  • Max pull static: 20 lbs.
