About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Rehabilitation Registered Nurse to join our team at Dominican Hospital. As a key member of our rehabilitation unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, supporting medical care as directed by physicians and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients within the rehab unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Support medical care as directed by physicians, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote patient independence and optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct patient education and counseling on disease management, self-care, and wellness strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction activities to ensure exceptional care and service.
Requirements
  • Current and active CA RN license
  • At least one year of recent hospital experience, including a minimum of 3 months in an acute care setting
  • Proficient in English, with verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills
  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
  • ASN or Nursing Diploma, required; BSN, preferred
  • Current Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN) Certification, preferred
