We are seeking a highly skilled Nephrology Nurse to join our team at Shannon Medical Center. As a Nephrology Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure timely and effective dialysis care needs.
- Prepare dialysis equipment and perform safety checks prior to each hemodialysis treatment.
- Initiate hemodialysis treatment, hemofiltration, and peritoneal dialysis treatment according to policies and procedures.
- Provide safe and effective delivery of patient care in compliance with facility standards and state and federal regulations.
- Nursing degree
- Hemodialysis experience
- Certification in Nephrology (preferred)
- Certification in Hemodialysis (preferred)
- CPR
Days vary. On call 4-5 times a month, on call one Sunday a month.
