LEAD MECHANICAL ENGINEER IN MANUFACTURING

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on technical engineering assistance for manufacturing and chemical processes.
  • Take charge of the design and execution of new or modified systems, including the specification of innovative processes and equipment, while ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize engineering analysis to diagnose system failures and propose effective solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend advancements in materials, machinery, and manufacturing techniques to address intricate manufacturing challenges.
  • Devise creative strategies in materials, equipment, and process design.
  • Conduct engineering calculations to support design initiatives, including Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS or comparable software.
  • Lead capital project efforts, coordinating across various departments to develop project charters, management plans, schedules, risk assessments, and budgets.
  • Address customer and regulatory needs and concerns effectively.
  • Analyze and propose business opportunities, implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare technical documentation and deliver formal presentations to stakeholders.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoDesk and ANSYS is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes.
  • Proven track record in leading projects from conception through commissioning, including scope, schedule, and budget management. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Strong collaborative skills, including leadership and active participation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.
  • Presentation skills essential for influencing outcomes.
  • Capability to create technical drawings using Inventor, Solidworks, or similar CAD software.
