Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist and perform various activities related to the practice of pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities pertaining to the practice of pharmacy, including maintaining proficiency in all areas and providing health care services to patients of all ages.
  • Assess prescriptions for appropriateness and completeness, and counsel patients with each new prescription and when needed.
  • Ensure the processing of prescriptions in a timely manner and maintain knowledge of current California Pharmacy Law.
  • Assist pharmacists with PK dosing, monitoring, and other aspects of patient monitoring, and complete documentation as required.

Requirements:

  • Interim Pharmacist License issued by the State of CA or Pharmacist's License.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
