The Design Engineer II plays a crucial role in translating customer and engineering team ideas into working plans for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of company products. As a key member of the Global Finishing Solutions team, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and specifications using CAD software.
Key Responsibilities- Design and create concept, assembly, and detail drawings using CAD software to illustrate complex product designs.
- Develop accurate bills of materials to ensure efficient production.
- Prepare and deliver submittal and install print drawings packages to customers.
- Provide on-site support during installation processes to clarify and troubleshoot as needed.
- Offer basic support to other departments as required.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop solutions for space and performance constraints.
- Apply industry standards to daily functions and conduct quality control checks on assembly drawings, detail drawings, and bills of material.
- Train and mentor junior designers to ensure knowledge transfer and growth.
- Associate's degree with 2-5 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical design, or a Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
