Position Title: Director of Tribal Relations

Organization: Opt For Healthy Living

Role Overview:

As the Director of Tribal Relations at Opt For Healthy Living, you will report directly to the executive leadership team. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and enhance the organization’s engagement with Tribal communities, aligning with our mission to promote health and wellness.

This role requires you to serve as a liaison between our organization and Tribal entities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. You will focus on fostering relationships that support both community health initiatives and the strategic goals of Opt For Healthy Living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen partnerships with Tribal communities.
  • Facilitate programs that promote the well-being of Native American populations.
  • Supervise a team dedicated to Tribal outreach and support services.
  • Represent the organization in meetings and events with Tribal leaders and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to integrate Tribal perspectives into health initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience working with Indigenous communities.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Social Work, or Cultural Studies.
  • A Master’s degree in a related discipline is preferred.
  • Knowledge of health disparities affecting Native American populations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse groups.
