Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead Painter to join our team at Fresh Coat Painters. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare work areas by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and masking adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, or texturing.
  • Maintain inventory of paint, brushes, and other painting supplies in accordance with management's instructions.
  • Paint areas as instructed by the maintenance supervisor or property manager, utilizing appropriate finishes and applications.
  • Follow OSHA/MSDS guidelines when using hazardous chemicals and ensure proper ventilation when using paint removers, varnishes, cleaners, etc.
  • Familiarize yourself with storage and disposal laws, regulations, codes, etc.
  • Clean areas, supplies, and equipment thoroughly when projects are completed.
  • Put remaining paint and supplies in their proper locations.
  • Assist with special maintenance projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some previous work-related experience
  • Active listening, critical thinking, social perceptiveness, and time management skills
